2020 Skin Goals Check List
| On Mar19,2020Ok people, we have entered a new decade and with this decade comes a new approach to skincare. We will revisit some old promises and make some new ones, so here goes:
In 2020 we pledge to;
This goes without saying, but, take better care of our body skin.
In 2020, let’s make it a priority to take as good care of the skin on our bodies as we do with our face. This means cleansing, exfoliating and moisturizing your body on a daily basis.
Declutter our skincare routine
We recommend using products that suit you and get rid of anything extra or unnecessary. Less is more when it comes to skincare.
Apply mask at least once a week
Taking fifteen minutes out at least once a week to sit with our masks on and catch up on the shows we have missed out on, is a great way to take care of ourselves.
Wash off our makeup every night
We need to get rid of all the dirt and makeup from the day to get a healthy glowing skin. This will significantly improve the appearance and overall health of your skin.
Use sunscreen every day
Regardless if it’s cold outside, or even if it’s raining, daily SPF is a necessity. It protects your skin from diseases and it slows down signs of aging.
Use eco-friendly products
In 2020, we will do our best to invest in products that support sustainable packaging and make a commitment to be more environmentally friendly. Everyone needs to play a part in our fight against climate change. So, as consumers, we need to make a commitment to be more environmentally conscious.
Use a humidifier
A lot of our skin issues can be solved by keeping our skin hydrated, no matter the skin type. And this is exactly what a humidifier does.
See a dermatologist regularly
Set an appointment with your dermatologist and see them at least once a year. It’s good to get regular updates on your skin’s current condition to keep better care of it.
Take care of your lips
Use lip scrub at least once a week and keep your lips hydrated throughout the day. Don’t wait for them to chap, to take action.
Get some beauty sleep
Our skin regenerates the most while we are sleeping. So try to get as much out of it as you can. Fix your sleep schedule and get at least 7-8 hours of sleep every night.
Drink more water
This is another tip that goes without saying. Beauty gurus all over the world live by this. Your skin often reflects your body’s dehydration, which may result in breakouts or flakiness. Make it a personal mission to drink at least two liters of water per day.
Wash our makeup tools regularly
Our makeup tools gather up dirt and bacteria from our faces and the environment. When they come into contact with our skin, they spread this dirt and bacteria all over our face causing adverse reactions. Therefore, it is important to keep our tools clean.
Take care of our neck and hands too
Did you know that our necks and hands show the greatest signs of aging? In 2020, we need to make sure that we are taking as good care of these two, as we are of our face. It is a great idea to apply the products you use on your face on your hands and neck as well.
Here’s to hoping our skins are healthier than ever before. Have a great year!
